About a year ago, a close friend of mine was dumped by her boyfriend, and he had just said to her “I want to spend the rest of my life with you". Can you believe it? She is a wonderful friend, a lovely woman, and she went through what can only be called "a living hell". Did she need that? Not for a moment.
